Nice! I've heard the 821's are a great bike/motor.  Just haven't ridden one myself.

Enjoying it so far I assume?  Dolph

I rode my buddy's in the mountains. I think the bike is beautiful but his has a BIG problem with false neutrals on downshifts which made for a few Oh Shiite moments.

I feel the same about the false neutrals, even after 25k miles. I've read that a lot of that is alleviated when the clutch is swapped for hydraulic actuation rather than cable.

Have zero issues with false neutrals. I did adjust my clutch for more precise engagement when I first got it though.
And I rarely use full clutch pull or even at all for up shifts and only a small pull for down shifts unlegoing into first.
So maybe my style works for the bike?

I can't grasp why a clutch would cause false neutrals. Huh?

I'm not sure, it's just what I read from a few other owners.

I don't believe the clutch has anything to do with it.
