Stator side case cover compatibility

ok ended up buying a 02 M620 cover with should be here today.



Trying to figure out what to block that sensor hole with. Is there any real pressure inside that case cover or am I just dealing with keeping the oil in and weather out?

No real pressure.

I'd remove that o-ring from the hole, so it doesn't fall inside.
Then I'd make an aluminum plate maybe 1/8" thick with that egg shape, use the M6 bolt at 12 O'clock to secure it.
Clean the surfaces, a thin coat of 3-bond, assemble.
