It's a '00 M750 Dark. What yrs & model can I use to expand my fleebay search?


Guess who forgot about the hidden bolt behind the slave cylinder rubber grommet?

'00 M750 is 3-ph charging and carbie.

AFAIK, any '98 and later carbie motor would use the same cover, so '98-'01 M400, M600, M750 and '98-'99 M900.

I'm pretty sure all '98 -'08 air-cooled ie model covers would work if you fashion a blockoff plate for where the rpm trigger goes.

I've checked part numbers for 600, 620, 01 M750, SS750 and they all have a different parts number. Looking at the diagrams I see only one difference, something called the "gearbox pin bush"

Ducati probably decided the bushing was unnecessary, and to let the shaft ride in the aluminum case.

Check part #'s on the shaft.

I believe that bushing and seal is for the shift shaft.

they're the same across the 00M750, 00SS750, 01M600, 01M750 & M750D

Which means all the cases you pictured should fit.

As Speeddog said, if you can make a block off plate for the later timing sensor, you can expand your choices.

I still can't believe on the third time I've had that cover off, I forgot about the bolt . Could I have screwed anything else up by cranking that hard on it?

The threads that the hidden bolt go into may not have been too happy about it.

Switched to stainless steel bolts about a decade ago too. You don't think puller did anything at that contact point?
