sigh slowly putting things back together and am on

the dry clutch; that I just finished brushing off a fair  amount of rust between all metal plates (is that normal ? for a bike that has been in a dry but damp garage for a while (and maybe stored outside  before I git it).

also I was putting the pushrod back in the same direction when I had it but don't know who might have fiddled with it at the dealership; so how to ID what direction  ??? its supposed to fit in; cant tell from shop or parts pics ...  :P ...lol.

Regarding the pushrod, the end with the two grooves (which should have o-rings in them) goes on the slave side.

Gratci amego - yes I remember 2 O rings; so to be clear 2 groves / o rings go on the hydraulic clutch master cylinder (salve) side; ce? (right?)

ok thanks both for confirming

and what's up about all that rust that formed on the metal clutch component's? didn't like that how to prevent that from forming? (not like you could spray it with oil as its a dry clutch)

Open or closed clutch cover? High humidity? As you say the previous owner left it outside.

closed clutch cover; with seal gasket; and the small vent on the bottom ... left outside by previous owner; but was still surprised to see the rust; now rust removed with a wire brush and was thinking of using some fine sandpaper but there are ware tolerances also ...and a lot of plates  :P

That work will take a few beers ( if you take your time with the beers).
