Looks solid. Steel or alloy?

Just watch out for the cases and bolt threads. Being light bikes I just grab the passenger rail and drag its arse around.
The early oem were alloy. Nice touch by the factory.

No issue spinning a 900 on it's stand, if the bolts are tight. If the bolts are loose, of course the threads will get fuxored. The real problems started in later vintage bikes, with the thinner cases, like the 848/1098. You could break that section right off, never mind damaging threads. It might have started with the Testastretta.

The "vacurial" cases are thinner ay? I'd still be careful, but that's me.

I have seen issues with both pre Evo 1100 Multistrada DS motors that I work on
(so a 100% sample of two
).
