Thanks Tony for posting the pic, I'm we'll chuffed at the way that it's turned out I just hope it rides as good as it looks... bow down

I've been reading the write up that I did over the Christmas, new year period 2008 when I had the job of running in the stores first 1100s which was going to be their demo bike and can't believe that it's taken all these years to actually own one... waytogo

T'was the local UKMOC meet and ride out today and I planned on riding the monster for the first time but the insurance company f**ked up big style in that the bike wasn't registered on the government web-site so I couldn't get the toad tax.. bang head

Anyway got out on the scrambler this morning (don't shoot me but it is a great little bike) and met up for breakfast, 11 bikes turned up and a good time was had by all so now I'll have to chase the insurance company tomorrow and hopefully get out on my own some time this coming week.

In a way it might have been a good thing in that I installed new Michelin pilot road three tyres so riding on my  own at my pace for some break in miles is probably safer, I'll let you know how I get on but it really will be nice to be back on a monster.. bow down

Nate. That's your old seat. Looks new after being treated with Motul Shine and Go.

Glad it finally landed on a bike.

The bike came with a customised seat that was a very badly executed attempt at cafe racer styling in the colour of powder blue.  vomit  It looks as it should now. I used the seat on my other 95 model too with plans to lower the bike for my daughter.
I'm taking the old girl back towards a more stock look including oem red colour and decals, indicators, tail section, etc. When painted I have a NOS oem fuel cap too. I'll keep a few period mods of the day like the pipes, carbon guards and a tail tidy, so pretty much what you could get out of the DP catalogue in 1994. The seat will live on. We customize the new and restore the old.

OEM red and decals will look great.

I know different colours do it for different folks, however, I struggle to like those other than red.

Red on the silver is great.
