Picked up a '94 M900 . I have worked on this bike for a few years now for two different owners. It has a motor I used to own that went into this bike via another customer. It has many excellent mods. Being the earliest shape I think its special. I love it. The world feels right again. I'll sort pics once I shaft pbucket for being greedy.

Just so you know, compared to my HM1100 Evo, it feels slow . That's despite it having a motor modified to make 86hp and 68 ft/lbs at the wheel and fed by FCR41's. But it was so much fun to ride. I felt like an old codger lovingly riding his classic.

There are days when I miss my '94. If it hadn't begun to be so needy I probably would have kept it forever.

The Monster is running great! Actually quite smooth and very responsive. A change of fuel from BP 98 to Mobil 98 (RON) really helped. Rode to work an afternoon shift and back home late in the evening at 50 F. It was a beautiful winter's night with the FCR41's gulping the crisp night air. Noticed that my low fuel light which had been stuck on went off as it freed up with the full tank.
I better ride the Hyper soon or she'll get jealous and throw a code.

Beautiful bike. I've said it countless times, the new Monsters do not compare.

In the interest of good science I rode the Monster and Hyper back to back today. The Monster has a strong motor and good response with it's FCR's but the Hyper's 15 extra hp and race style light weight internals are just wicked. Both very enjoyable. After getting off the flatslide carbed 900 the Evo's closed loop ECU operation was noticable as you can feel the ECU second guessing your inputs. I think this old Luddite might hate fly by wire.

So you feel like an olde codger, well here's another olde codger back on a monster this time a 2009 mint condition 1100s which over the last six weeks has been adorned with carbon and ridden through the Rizoma catalog lol. It was taken in part ex on a multi + cafe racer, I got the call from the shop as they knew I was on the lookout for another (there's always room in your garage for a monster) so off to the shop and there sat a clean well loved 1100s, 4300 miles and a good dealer service record so that was that. I'm getting it taxed and insured this week and hopefully will ride to the local UKMOC meeting next Sunday God willing. Geoff... Blimey it's great to be back and if you'd like pics then someone will have to pm me their email addy as I'm still useless on that front...lol.p
