How to get Oil Seal Ring out of Clutch Cover for PC

Removing all the required parts for Powder Coating on 2005 620 and this damn oil seal ring in the clutch cover wont come out. I think last time I did this I may have left it in but that's not an option now as I've butchered the rubber portion trying to use a flat head screw driver to pry it out as described in the Haynes Manual. I've read every post I could find on this here and on other forums but no solid tips outside of using a heat gun to expand the inside portion of the clutch cover which I tried but that metal is pretty thick there so I'm not sure if it's actually making a difference. Either way it's not coming out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Feeling frustrated here...  [bang]

Here's a pic of mine. It's item number 9 in the diagram below. Frustrating this is I got it out before but that was 4 years ago and I dont recall how. Even found my post here asking the same damn question 4 years ago.  [laugh]

Dremel to the rescue! Carefully cut the ring with a dremel and was able to pull it out.
