I think Zarco pretty well defined the term "Out of Nowhere!".

Have any of you watched the 1994 Suzuka race with Norick Abe, Kevin Swantz and Mick Doohan that is up on the Moto GP site now.  The wildcard rider Abe gave Swantz and Doohan fits.

An excellent race and great last lap. Dovi is King of the Late Bloomers.
Rossi was lucky to not smash his healing leg.

Dovi just keeps on retaining his composure and Marc is powerless to fluster him. Most excellent race!

Wow, just wow. When that last lap started I had pretty much given up on the win. Dovi’s patience is legendary and he definitely attacks once he sees an advantage. You have to give it to MM, the kid has no quit in him.

I was surprised when Dovi didn't attack when Marquez had his almost off.  Was that good sportsmanship by letting Marquez recover or was his plan to wait until the time he did?
Fantastic racing!

And hence my comment about his patience. Dovi understood that MM’s rhythm was off. He used the mistake to shorten the gap, then picked him off where he thought MM would have the least chance to fight back.

Yep. Calculated, measured, intelligent aggression. Dovi's like a boxer who "picks his punches", with a smart, smooth riding style.
