If Marky crashes at Valencia and Dovi wins then Lorenzos big save at Sepang saved the championship, (but I wouldnt bet on it) Grin

I never liked Jorge but I'm starting to come around.  laughingdp

Anyone know why Dovi went wingless today?  Tire heat/wear?

Go Dovi!!

Heโ€™s never really liked the wing fairing. He only uses it when the track requires a lot of front end feel

Not sure why he would not always use it if indeed it means better front wheel feel.

Faster front tire degradation? Just a guess.

Jorgheyโ€™s riding style revolves around loading the front. This is why he has not ridden without it since it  premiered. My speculation is that Dovi squares off the corner instead of Jorgheyโ€™s rounding it. At least this is what I remember.

The new aero fairing also reduces top end speed by about 10 kph.

You'reghey can accept that because of his higher corner speed style. Carlos is correct about Dovi pointing and shooting. The Duc has become a kind of a point and shoot bike because of its' lack of front feel.

So Jorge has found something at the middle to end of the year as he's lead multiple races, particularly wet races, but fades about of a 1/3 of the way in. I would assume that's based on tire wear which is being expedited by the wings.  Double edged sword.

In the earlier stages of the race, I noticed that Dovi was the only one of the front runners that was intentionally riding outside of the drier race line.  Perhaps it was to avoid the spray, but I have a feeling it was his veteran knowledge and patience to keep his tires cooler for the later part of the race, where it counts.  It also exhibits his bike control and ability to ride anywhere on the track, compared to Jorge, who is only comfortable riding the quali-lap line...
