How much of a pain is it gonna be to replace #5 & #11 "rubber caps?"

You have to remove the cam pulleys.

Thanks. Now, anyway around buying the special tools to remove those without butchering stuff?

Those ringnuts are *very* tight, it's a serious pull with a 1/2" breaker bar.

Even with the special tools it's possible to butcher stuff... and make sure you torque them good when you put them back.
