Removing; Cleaning injectors & gas stepper pump; 07 s2r?

07 s2r been sitting for 9 yrs

Injector removal looks simple; take out torex screw and the pull straight out; to reinstall revers; does it matter where there set as far as the 30 degree rotation?

Supposedly; the injectors don't like to sit for a long time; right? So what's the quickest /simplest; then best way to check & cleaning injectors & gas stepper pump? .... I'm assuming if I turn the key I should see them spray gas as the pump primes the cylinders; so if removed the should spray a bit of gas right?

Why not put fresh gas in the tank, cycle the key multiple times, and see if it starts and runs OK before you take things apart?

good point; the bike is in process of being put back together, so, air box , tank etc. isn't in the way at the moment, so easy to access.

Might as well see that there clean now; just trying to eliminate problems along the way... thinking this will be a challenge to get running...

lol; who has an ultrasonic cleaner? might be the best way but what's the low tec way to test clean injectors without fancy, expensive, equipment?

Nope, ultrasonic cleaning is work for a specialized shop, https://www.injectorrx.com/ultrasonic-fuel-injector-cleaning should give you an idea.  Results can be iffy, that is why you need a flow test to confirm proper operation.  Might be worth a try at as little as $18x2 https://www.injectorrx.com/motorcycle-fuel-injector-cleaning/  as long as you have the time.

okee jus as a follow up; what I ended up doing instead of removing injectors was; pretty basic really.  The manifold was already removed; so bought some milder manifold cleaner; sprayed cleaner on tips; let sit; 15 min covered the rinsed tips then; sprayed inside manifolds so all was cleaned; despite a fair bit of what I think was condensation in the tank she fired on the first try; then sputtered until all the moisture was out of the system; oh also bough high octane gas and added stabilizer before starting.  Seemed to do the trick.
