Anyone using a MOSFET rectifier? I did a few searches on the forum but just found posts about the MW OEM rectifier and posts on other forums. I figured I'd see what people are doing here.

That would be the regulator technology of choice nowdays [thumbsup]. Check with the vendors. Easy fitment can come into it depending were the regulator is located in your bike. Two sponsors (Monsterparts&Motowheels) carry regulators so check with em if they are MOSFET tech.

After reading a few oem reg/rect failure posts I changed to a mosfet with better sealed connectors.  Got kit and good advice from this fellow:

Thank you. I'll check it out.

Here is my rectifier. Good thing I wasn't out on a long trip somewhere.

Google moves stuff around pretty regular, and links die, like I think yours did.
So we can't see a pic.

Sorry to hear your R/R perished.

The Rick's stuff is good.

Sweet! Thank you!

Google > Me. I have been trying to do the static image work around thing with them for years and I think I just need to give it up.

My next one will be a Rick's. Saved the link.

I ended up getting a FH016AA from a ZX6R and soldering it into the harness of the original rectifier per installation on another forum.
I was disappointed to see that Ducati used aluminum wiring on a component like that. The aluminum wiring was dirty and difficult to solder in. I'll probably replace the entire wiring run at some point but it works for now. The FH016AA has the same bolt holes as the OEM Ducati one, you just need longer bolts as the holes are thicker.

Thank you for all the input!

I've had a mosfet on the s4rs for about 4 years. One thing i had to do was cut/ plastic weld the black plastic oil breather tank to a smaller shape to allow everything to fit under the seat.

I just did the MOSFET upgrade on my 02 Foggy S4.  I got the upgrade kit from roadstercycles too along with a mounting plate as I had to move it back one inch but great upgrade.
