brake reservoir capacity

Not a monster question, but it could be.

I don't make it to the track much with my torture-rack 749s, so I'm converting from no-rise Woodcraft clip-ons to the 1" rise version, hoping that'll make it more suited for the twisties around here.  Also has aftermarket radials and pee-cup reservoirs sorta track style.  With the added height I'm having a heck of a time making the existing reservoirs fit and clear everything with a good clean mounting.  Clutch is 15mL and brake is 45mL.  Probably need to maintain a side or angled outlet, not a down outlet.

Fitting a smaller 15mL reservoir for the brake would make things easier, but is that a bad idea even for a meticulously maintained bike that also always gets pre-flight checks?

You need enough capacity to allow for the caliper pistons to extend with pad wear. You will see some small resis on custom bikes, but it's your call on calculating the safe volume you need. You could look at longer hose and resi brackets to move them in board so check out our sponsors offerings.
