My 2000 M750 has sprung a leak in the fuel line going to the front of the carburetors just above the oil cooler. As the lines are all original, this seems like the time to replace all of the fuel and vacuum lines. I've searched, but have been unable to find what size diameter lines I will need to complete the job. Also, any suggestions on the process, this will be my first time, will be appreciated. Any other supplies that I will need for the job?

All EFI lines seem to be 5/16", but carbies might be 1/4". Just take a piece with you to the auto parts store. A knife/razor will be useful for trimming the lines.

I have a razor blade thing that makes sure the cut is square. It's not that important. I just have a tool addiction.

Fuel lines are 5/16 on a carbie, also.

Vacuum lines are 5mm, so 3/16" is the closest fractional size.

While you're in there, replace the vacuum petcock with a manual unit, and put a vacuum cap, or a short piece of hose with a bolt in it, on the manifold. No good comes from that vacuum unit when almost 20 years old.
