Fly over the topic about hard tuned 696. Naah,....I thought it was more bolt on bolt project. It was interesting talk and might be interesting, but like it said....left behind. And non ABS is for me not acceptable

Let’ just hypothetically said that, i like the idea of swapping the engine on my 796. Which one 1098/1198 have ABS and TC. And what all need it making it works (abs,tc).....!
And for last....besides the engine, what all would be need it for project like that.

Tnx.

Ducati is upgrading their website. At the moment I'm not able to find them, but there used to be a Models Archive where we could read all the tech info about every model.

I guess the info is listed somewhere else too.

1098R supposed to have ABS. Correct me if wrong, all 1098 engines are the same, just the ECU are different. So, for ABS, the ECU is the one who controls it?!

AFAIK, no **98R model will have ABS.
'09 1098R has wheel speed sensors, but braking is direct, no detour through ABS module.

Honestly though, this is akin to noticing that the refrigerator door is open while the house around it is on fire.
Relevant in isolation, but ignoring the larger problem at hand.

SWAG, this project would require a budget north of $10k.

Thank you for your explanation. Very extensive. Still don’t see it around 10k$ project, but ok.
But as i mentioned, it was just a friends talk/idea.....will stay with primer plan.

Thank you all,
