Hmmm.  So the whole race is in Peru this time?  Also looks like it's almost entirely sand terrain.

Jaja.  They're wimps!  Just kidding.

Actually, I road through some of that terrain around Ica.  Just sand dunes as high as mountains.  I was in a dune buggy on a tour rather than my on my own bike.  But those dunes are steep and gnarly.  Many props to the Dakar racers.
