If you've never seen these cars live, ya gotta go. It's out of control! They have to weigh 1,400 pounds (636kg) with the driver in the car. The 410-cubic inch engine (6.7 litre) produces over 900 horsepower and uses methanol fuel. You need eye and ear pro during races.

If you think they're just cruising around, here's a good onboard. They get push started, then several laps to heat the motor, then Boom! He'll light it up around 2:20.  [evil]

Wild stuff. I know a guy that builds these rigs, he's part of the crew. Drivers have big balls.

While nowhere near the HP, the Midgets on dirt are crazy quick. I enjoy them on asphalt more though. Used to watch Jeff Gordon on Thursday Night Thunder way back when he was a youngster long before his move to NASCAR.
