where to get the exposed belt covers?

I am looking to get some exposure for my belts.

I have seen the little covers that go over the sprockets and the ones with a full edge and mesh.
I would like to see where I can get the latter.

Web searches are vague at best.

any problems with them and can I even put them on my 00 750? and who would have them?

The top ones are made by SpeedyMoto, and can be found just about anywhere. Motowheels and Motostrano are good sources for SpeedyMoto and engine accessories in general.

Oh, and I can't forget DMF sponsor desmoworks. They're a large SpeedyMoto reseller.

I would recommend the fully protected...mesh or Rizoma's plexi, etc...covers over the pulley cover styles, like SpedyMoto's. SpeedyMoto makes an outstanding product, but my concern is primarily real world debris protection.

The pulley covers look fantastic, but they don't really offer any protection for the belts. The mesh or clear acrylic styles have that great exposed look, but still offer protection from road debris.

It doesn't seem like a big concern, but all it takes is one small piece of gravel to get caught in the belt to do some serious damage. One small pebble can lodge between the pulley and belt, throw off the cam timing, and then you have piston to valves collision. Kiss that motor good night!

The Monster doesn't have any bodywork to help cover the motor, and its vital components, like a SBK or SS does. If you have a relatively simple low-side, and the motor is still running, and go into the dirt, you'll load a ton of crud into the belts and could potentially blow the motor.

I think it would be worth the extra waiting/searching to find a fully protected style of belt cover, vs having to do major motor rebuilding due debris getting in the belts.

We could just make a happy little cutout in your stock covers, paint them black, and epoxy some plexi to the back. Voila! It'd be that second picture you posted.

I've been running with no belts for a while with no issues and my bike isn't exactly a garage queen.  Yes you may lowside on the right side, have gavel slip in there and destroy your motor, but you will look cool as hell doing it. 

It looks SO much better without the covers on that I dont think I would run them ever again.

Here are my clear belt covers.  It took about 2 min to make them.  I think it makes the bike look more raw... if that is an adjective one can use to describe a bike
