…. been holding this season; its a cooler spring than normal this year, and there's the pre occupation with this dam virus; thinking of the bikes nice; I'll be tinkering with the some this year but will hold till later this season due to Covid 19.

Maybe May; maybe June / July this year

I'll ride thru winter here down to 30F as long as its dry. Enjoy the forthcoming warm weather.

I'm going to wait at least 6 weeks to start.  Also, my S4Rs isn't road ready yet so that works out.

Hoping time, weather, and the pandemic allow for some riding in June.

Took my first ride of the year yesterday. Just a quick 30 mile shakedown ride to check out some mods to the bike. It was windy as hell and a touch chilly, and totally worth it. I was gonna ride today as well, ended up washing/detailing the bike instead.

Need to start the old beast up.  Not much interest in riding a superbike here in north Texas, honestly.

Also, need new gloves, boots & pants. Helmet is surely overdue for a replacement, too.

Guess I should stimulate the economy by getting those.

I've been trying to get the (borrowed) '78 BMW out for short rides at least a couple of times a month to keep the carbs from gumming up. I rebuilt them last spring and it was less fun than it sounds. Fortunately, we've had a mild winter and spring, unlike last year that saw snow every week until Monday of Memorial Day Weekend.

Apparently, my efforts haven't been entirely successful; mounted up for the first long ride of the year today, and about 20 minutes in it started hesitating and missing, just like before I renovated the carbs. Hopefully, a good cleaning will suffice, as all the seals and other parts should be in good shape....

Since the S4Rs is now legal and road worthy...  Yeah, I haven't ridden it.

Yeah triangleforge: carbs are no fun with today's fuel.

Is now the time? [evil]

Unfortunately, covid can reel its ugly head at anytime; was hoping to see things settle down, but we've just seen last week as things started to open up in the south how awfully contagious this virus is.

Despite that, I optimistically hope we better understand (?) and are better equipped (??) to deal with covid than when it originally landed in north America …

But this was about when you get you bike on the road, covid influenced that decision personally, and the weather wasn't great when I had some time to ride up until now …

So on that note, took some time last Sunday to check over the bike again; add air to tires; and 3 hours later had it tabbed for road use for the first time in 9 months … and had a awesome adrenaline filled rip up the favorite mountain road the last weekend.  ;D

Been out a few times already on the Monster... in fact, I'm taking it tonight to the bowling alley.

Haven't rode but the one time to ensure that all the repairs went well.  They did.  It's licensed, insured, has gas & a battery...  and it sits in my garage.

(should I ask?) why are you not riding the monster?… whats the issue there? I hope all is well.
