G'Day Ducatters,

Am I right in thinking that the '09 Monster 1100S rear subframe is different to '12 1100 EVO rear subframe?

EVO pillion footrest hangers are much less awful than the 696/796/1100 type....  but a distant memory makes me think that EVO passenger footpeg hangers on 1100S is not a doable thing....

Please chime in with your wisdom.

Doable? Everything is doable  8)

....see.... when I said ....'wisdom'..... I hadn't anticipated it arriving in the form of Norwegian philosophy.

By way of gratitude, I have some.... specially selected cold beer here for you (when it's safe to travel to these pox ridden parts)  [evil]

Stu is responsible for the everything is doable attitude. Probably because he knows how.

I have other options and so if this isn't a straightforward bolt on possibility, I'll be paying Mr Rizoma a call.

IIRC there is a company who makes assemblies for the 1100 much like the EVO ones. CNC Racing maybe?

The S and Evo have the same part numbers for the frames.

... maybe more.
Ah... yes.  Now that I see those, I remember Raux had something very like those on his 696.   Seeing that cross-piece is reminding me why I think it's not going to work out with EVO pegs.

(I've had a pair of EVO footpeg hangers offered to me, so the wondering is really all about will they bolt straight on).

The frames, yes.  The rear subframes, not so sure.  But you're right, I should just go compare the part numbers.

I think you're SOL.

Early M1100 has the Gen1 and Gen2 style chicken wing footpeg assembly with integral pillion bits.
Late M1100 has S*R style footpeg assemblies and the seperate S*R style pillion bits.
Part#'s are totally different on the subframes between the 2.

Yes, Lars is correct and anything is possible.
Yes, you are receiving yet more Norwegian Philosophy.
If you had asked a New Zealander, he'd have had a foolproof plan of how you could do it with scrap of paper and a chocolate bar and you'd be done already.

Similar in Australia, except it's done with a length of number 8 fence wire.
