LED turn signals on an Evo Monster

I have after market LED turn signals to try. Do I need to fit resistors or does the ECU or dash have control of the flash rate? Heard opposite answers and I'll need to change connectors to suit, so I want to be clear before I start.

Update: Rizoma make a wiring adaptor link bullet type aftermarket plugs to the late Ducati mini connector block. If I have to fit resistors I won't bother with LEDs. I'd rather take stuff off than add stuff.
