I'll be very surprised if they can pull it off. I remember thinking "There's no way this would work as a movie" as I read the book a few years ago. I'm open to being proven wrong, but I have low expectations.

(Though I can't wait to hear the cries of "This is a ripoff of The Incredibles!"  )

Alan Moore, who notoriously has nothing ever good to say about adaptions or possible adaptions of his work, said the screenplay was as close to the comic as you could get.   

I can't wait for it.

I am so stoked about this... I really hope they can pull it off. I really liked the way he adapted 300. If he does the same, it will be great.
