Have an 09 1100s, to my understanding the engine is modified 1099. Hit a patch of ice and need flywheel cover. Are there other models I can pull it from
Thanks in advance

The left hand case? That holds the water pump (on water-cooled bikes) and alternator? Less interchangeable than you'd hope.

Waterpumps, different stator sizes, different cam gears with different sensor locations. Some flywheels don't fit in some cases.

So 1100 DS motors, Monster, Multi and Hyper. Not sure on the Evo Monster and  Evo Hyper as they had lighter alternators, but maybe.

I usually find this by googling "ducati" plus part number.

Yeah it’s the air cooled evo

I believe you need an evo cover. I think the evos were the ones with the different cam gears and crank sensor position.

Most bikes had a single gap in cam teeth, evo had two. Somebody on here swapped to an evo, and it was a whole thing getting it running and tuned. Username was He-man?

To put an Evo engine in his S2R1000, IIRC, he switched to a gear from an 848 (the gear with one sensor position)(hole?)

The Evo was (again, IIRC) the first bike they used the vacum casting method on. More uniform density allows less metal. Same concern as when you bake a cake. If you ever bake cakes. Thinner and lighter engines. Not the best idea for an air cooled, 2 valve tractor engine, but they managed to lighten and tune it to 100 "calculated"/claimed bhp. I challenge you to find a survivor in good condition.

I’m just looking to replace cover, was wondering if my other models used same eco engine that I might be able to use cover. Having a very difficult time finding one.
Thanks all for input

So far with only current part number 24221201AC, hypermotard shares same cover, unfortunately the only part number is the gold color  bang head
