I found a set of cheap M1100 Forks that i picked up but in order to use them, i need to know the axle diameter (hoping its also 25mm like S2R). Additionally, if using the stock S2R wheels with the M1100 forks, what would the rotor offset be?

And just to confirm the calipers are 100mm spacing, which pretty much means I can purchase any of the Ducati M4 brembos or does SBK M4s result in a different offset?

Pretty sure the hollow 25mm axel with end nut is common. Not sure about threaded end specs, spacers, etc and disc offset. Both Showa if it's a regular 1100 front end (non S or Evo).

I got the forks yesterday and they are Marzocchi. Advertised from an M1100 2012. they are 50/54mm and 25mm axle which are bolt ons for the S2R1000. Im now sourcing a set of M4 monoblocks from an 1098 or 848evo or similar then i need to mount it but i have no idea what the offset may be.

Once I find that ill out ill update!

Yes. 2012 would be M1100 Evo. M1100 Evo forks are Marzocchis.
The M1100 had Showa and M1100S Ohlins.

I was on the hunt for 1100s ohlins forks but those are realllly tough to find at a reasonable price. As I understand it, stock Ohlins are good but not great so I figure if I paid $1000 for a set of Matris drop ins, Im still ahead of the game.

I've heard that the Evo Marzocchi forks are a decent baseline to play with and that they have a decent piston size/valve design. It would be interesting whether your suspension tech can confirm this.

If you want to avoid servicing and revalve and maybe new springa used fork the drop in Matris drop in is a good idea.

I dont see as many reviews for the Matris as I do the Andreani ones. Matris is about $1000 and the Andreani are about $600. I'll cross the path once I get the everything else sorted. Meanwhile, I went up to a local dealer (hudson valley where steve is) and saw a '23 Multistrada. I dont know where I would find the time to justify the cost but man, I would just look at it every morning while I drink coffee to admire it. That might be worth it...if I didnt have 2 kids  [laugh] [wine]
