Here is a great subject done extremely well by Motorcycle News in the UK. The owner is asked a variety of questions about his bike and he tells the Interviewer, in this case Michael Nieves, about his bike.  I have ridden a 996 one time in the mountains of southern New Mexico. The route was Ruidoso to Cloudcroft to Sun Spot and close to Artesia. At that point I could handle no more.  I am 6 feet two inches and was about 220 lbs back then. I certainly didn't ride it anywhere near its full potential. But I had a greattime on it.  I let the owner take the bike back while I rode his BMW on the return to Ruidoso retracing the route back from Cloudcroft to Ruidoso.
