Came across this article about a new search engine.

It is called Cuil.  While I think it may be a little more visually appealing than Google, I think I'll stick with Google, at least for now.  Google seems to give better results and also warns if a page may contain spyware, whereas Cuil doesn't.

One of the things I noticed so far on Cuil, is that some of the pictures that show up are not even on the linked site  ???

I don't know if this is full indexed version or not.  If it is not I would not have put it out for the world to see.  If it is I am not impressed, DMF was not even listed.  Very slow
I seem to recall that MSN was going to have a google killer last year as well.

I read about this a few hours ago, and went to check it out.  Of course i searched "ducati monster forum" but it didnt show any hits for the first few pages.  I got bored and went back to google.

Has anyone else been run over by a go-kart?

Give it time.  The people behind this are some of the very best minds in the search engine business, so I would imagine it's going to get much better as time goes on.  If they can do what they say they can do, I would be pretty damn impressed.

i did a search comparison with google ... nothing useful came back from cuil.  i'll stick

This is the interwebs. You either get it right the first time, or your make the beast with two backsed.

They had a huge press day, a lot of people tried it, and it failed. In six - eight weeks when it works better, no one is going to care / remember to go back there.

That's not true at all and has been proven time and again.
