post an ad for spider monkeys on Craigslist. You could accidentally put Guy LaDouche's phone number for the contact, and have a typo that says to only call after 10 pm.

I would put a personal ad out in his name on Craigslist. It can be comepletely normal but I would say he was into some "alternative" hobbies. If lives with his significant other, he will have a fun time trying to explain the calls. If he lives alone, he will still have to deal with all the weirdo phone calls. Let other people do the work for you.

first off i would like to ask this
if it's so important that something come of this then why wouldn't you take a report from someone else who's life was put in danger by this asshat?
if you think that it's not all that serious then why waste the effort.

secondly
what's the website? we can go after him there in mass.

put his name and number in the local newspaper for "massages"
my dimwit co-worker actually had this one happen to her: her name and phone number was put on an ad for fantasy maid service. she gets calls all the time asking how much, when she can be over, and how exotic a fantasy can she be. (no, i didn't do it)

When you have no independent witness's nothing will ever come of it. If someone DEMANDS a report I would take one, all the while knowing that it will be a "DA Reject" within a week.

I called. I spoke with his wife. SHe asked if I wanted to leave a message :) .

Me:  "Yes I would, please let him know the motorcyclist he tried to kill on the 405S called." I then explained the incident to her. I let her know I was a police officer on the way home from work, and to let him know that next time he gets mad about a little "beep" to remember that not everything he does is anonymous.

looooooooooooooooooong pause.

Me: "Are you there?"

Her: "Yes, I'm just in shock."

Me: 'I understand, hopefully he will think things through next time."

Her: "I assure you that he will."

1) call the cops and let them know about what you perceived as road rage
2) if you still feel the need, call the guy from a pay phone and let him know how you feel about him. but avoid any reference to yourself/location, etc....
3) chalk it up to experience

Here's the non PC version

Hi, this is the biker the male motorist at this address tried to kill today.

Does someone at this address drive an xxx?

IS YOUR HOUSE MADE OF WOOD?

YA I know, yir going to jail.  But just once wouldn't ya love to do it?

I had a guy intentionally try to take me out with the missus on the back last year.  Hard to call the coppers while on 2 wheels with the brain bucket on, so I followed the a$$hole.  There was a verbal altercation, I peeled away.  He was stoopid enuff to turn into his neighborhood right before the "conversation", I found his house the next day.

Took me 3 days to decide NOT to let the fire out of his truck, then I called the cops....TOO LATE.

Shoulda just freed all that fire from the truck ASAP.

GAWD I hate a$$holes

...How much fire is trapped in a late 80's vintage Chevy truck anyhow?

I agree that you should set a speed trap for him on his way to/home from work.

Hit him with a couple of tickets, and you might even mention that you're targeting him since you saw him swerving around a lot one day.  Maybe you can even catch him while he's swerving around again, then you can make him take a field sobriety test, etc.  Make life hassle for him, and each time you pull him over, just mention to him that he needs to be more careful with his driving.

Let's be honest, you can pull pretty much anyone over for some minor infraction.  Make him late to/home from work a few times, and maybe he'll rethink his driving.

the only time i called because of something liek that, they sent a trooper out to take a report, i met him at a rest stop along the road. 2 weeks later i met the kid that did it in court with the trooper. i agreed to let it all drop after the kids father and i spoke. the kid was shaking so i was pretty sure he learned his lesson, no need to pursue it further.

some people take these things seriously, and that makes me feel a little better.

i think you handled it pretty well, though i would have left out the part about being a police officer. just say that you got his info from his website which was on his car and that should be enough to make him rethink his advertising method and driving style.

i say you call from a pay phone, basically tell him i saw you on the road way, i know you/your car/your number/where you work/where you live and where your family is..and tell him that he knows nothing about you, so that you are watching him, heck anyone can watch anyone, that is what the cops and private investigators do and they dont' tell you that they are watching you..

at no time do you ever say you are going to do anything all you are doing is saying you know information about him, how is that a threat? you never said you are going to do anything, that is his imagination runnign away.

sometimes the threat of an a$$ kicking is worse than the a$$ kicking.

and if you really are LEO, you know the golden rule because LEO enforce and abide by it all the time, its only illegal if you get caught and someone can prove it in a court of law, if you can't then technically, it didnt' happen it only allegedly happened.

and if you thik anything came of teh conversation with the wife you are misguided she probably thought its some punk kick crank calling, you have to talk to the guy not a 3rd party.

I really am a LEO, and that's actually not a golden rule in law enforcement. I'm also not going to risk my job giving some fool an ass whooping over road rage. The only "golden rules" in law enforcement my FTO's taught me were, we go home every night, we don't get wet, and we always make sure we eat. ;)

If you "thik" nothing came out of the conversation then you aren't married.

They won't take a report. I am the police, and I wouldn't take one if sent to the same exact call. There is no point in taking one.

Then YOU sir ARE the problem!!
