Well I figured I'd throw this out again for you guys. I'm not sure what bike I'll be on but beg, borrow or steal, I'll be on some bike riding around the track. Don't know if I'm going to be taking a co-pilot but if someone really wants to go and needs a ride let me know and I'll make a decision. So come out and enjoy some the twisties that RFR has to offer at a RIDICULOUSLY cheap price. Follow the link to buy your tickets: https://www.pacifictracktime.com/pttcart/product_info.php?cPath=33&products_id=170Just think you can come out and watch me make a jackass of myself on a Supermoto or possibly drag my monster's exhaust on the track or if the dream world I live in comes to reality I'll be on the 675 chewing up BT-003's like bubble gum chasing 2:50 lap times.

It's at GP Frame and Wheel right now with a minimum of a single bent fork. Speaking to Dave Moss, who races them, he says more then likely if the fork is bent the triple is bent. Then I have a smashed front fairing stay (already in route for delivery), and a bent right clip-on.
Sometime this week I'll hear the verdict on what all is tweaked, what's fixable, and what needs to be replaced.
So the moral of this story is that crashing isn't cool especially when your bike flips when it hits the dirt after sliding off track.

This is the last PTT RFR weekend for the year. After this it's just T-Hill on its newly paved surface. So this is the last deal for the 2008 Trackday season!
(I will be at RFR in September with Kiegwins though)

They also don't list the "deal price" until a couple weeks before the weekend. If you sign up for their newsletter you find out pretty early. I heard about it about 2 weeks before they put it up on BARF.

The monster has a few disadvantages at the track that I shall list for you: 1) It makes about half the power as the other bikes 2) It has no fairings 3) It has a power to weight ratio that is pretty pitiful 4) It has almost no lean angle with stock pipes
Yeah my pipes "self clearanced" after a bit. As did my kickstand.
I was able to hold my own in B group though and was able to get enough of a gap in the twisty parts to never get passed on the front straight. Luckily for me turn 1 is all about letting your balls hang out so I was able to make the gab bigger. Most everyone's poor line choice into turn 2 was also another great passing point for me... All around it was a great eperince riding a slower bike cause I really got to see how much more speed I could carry in the corners and how I was breaking WAY to early on the 675 on some turns. I look forward to riding again on the 675 to test out my new found knowledge.
I won't be able to ride this weekend to the track cause I'm picking up my 675 from GP Frame and Wheel at the track. So yeah, both inner and outer fork tubes, rotors, wheel, triple clamps all toasted.. haha good times!
