I have several of those. the english system would make so much more sense it it were in decimals. They promised me in 74 -75 that we would be using metric and Ive been pissed ever since.

The Brits (our forefathers forefathers) came up with that bullshit.  A mile is 6 furlongs or some crap.

A mile was 1000 paces.

1 pace is 2 steps.

1 pace is also roughly equal to your height.

The standard was based on a roman emperor who was about 5' 3 1/2".



Personally, I much prefer the metric system. Sockets are all numbers instead of fractions.
