Does a 2000 Monster have a rev limiter?

its easy to find out. just run the RPM up around 9K. if the bike lurches like it was tied to a dock, then the bike has a rev limiter.

then you must have the 900. the other bikes were still carb in that year.

just rev your bike up. if it rev sound doenst start bouncing off the walls then it doenst have a rev limiter. but dont hold it  and wait for it to happen, you can damage your engine like that. Just WOT it for a second. it should come very quickly after 8,000rpm.
