8/2 or 8/3, beach or ride

Alright, new thread so we can start fresh.

There are two options on the table. if your down for either or, just let me know by posting.

Weather:
Saturday 8/2 is scattered T storms in NYC. But depending on where we are going, it may be sunny who knows.
Sunday 8/3 is full sun all across the north east, so it is a good beach day or riding day. either way its nice and hot.

Beach day
If you guys are down for the beach, I am welcome to any recommendations as to where we could go, I havent been to a beach other than Manhattan or Jones beach. The nicer it is the better. Im sure we are all down for any beach as long as its a fun ride for all of us. (yea im bring it florida style 11 turns in 318 miles of beach! lol)

Riding Day
I only know of bear mountain and its associated routes. That is the closest to twisty roads, and honestly I'd really like it if someone could lead us to somewhere new that isnt really isnt too far from home. I havent done catskills yet, but thats a fair amount of time getting there and this would be a relatively new group of riders as i have met only 2-3 NYMMC'ers.

Either or, if i have to ride alone, im doing it cause my bike is gong to be in the shop for the next 3 weeks. So if your down for the beach, lets rock out and hit some sand and football and hot women! Ill bring the bacon and football!

I am in Brooklyn N.Y. so the guys inside the city can meet up and we will catch up with everyone else after we figure out who is going.

Hey guys Glantern and I and possibly RJ were going to go upstate and do the catskill thing but we both had some stuff come up and are now just going to ride the island. We will be going east through some of our fav roads. there are some pretty good sections so if you want to come you are welcome. Andro just watch out for that sharp right hander and the picket fence! If you still want to take a stop at the beach we can show you the best beach on LI. If you are interested I`ll send you the map.

i am defintely intrested. Whats with that sharp right? Did someone go down there?  cause i went down on a sharp downshill close to catskill. was not fun.  but yea man send me the map!

Mookie sent me the map of his ride, the kick of point is about an hour from where i live (sunset park brooklyn, near exit 1 on the belt) up to 1:30 if we are taking it easy. I will be going with these guys since it looks like new roads that arent far away from home. androgynous, kroe, and Countgreffi are you guys still with?

I am still TBD at this point.  Sorry, bro.  A buddy have been suggesting riding to the Hampton several times and if I went without him I will get skewered.  I'll see if I can get him out, but his wife is delivering in a few weeks so.....
