Carbon Fiber Side Vents for S2R 800 (Install Question)

Ok guys and gals, please come to my rescue again with some installation advice.  I just picked up a set of DP carbon fiber side vents for my S2R 800 of Ebay and need some help with the install.  (reference the vents on the BOMB if you don't know what I am talking about.  The fit between the frame above the lower belt cover).  They didn't have any instructions with them and look like they want to fit, but just aren't quite going.  They have a small rubber fitting on the back that really doesn't seem to have a purpose.  If anyone has any experience with these, any advice would be appreciated.  They are going on because they look cool as hell, dremel tool or no dremel tool, I would prefer the no dremel tool option because I am getting VERY cocky with my mods as of late and am due a monumental screw up any time now.  I waited quite a while to get a set of these vents without coughing up the $450 DP pricetag and don't want to mess them up.  Thx in advance.

Never mind.  I stared at them for about 12 hours and couldn't wait anymore.  Dremel tooled the hell out of them.  Not sure that this set was actually made for the S2R, but they are now.
