PLUS, the post was quoted by Betty and they took the web address out of it! Angry

When CRASH left he sent me the new forum address - they actually edited his personal message!

Super's idea works for a little while however!

700 members in less than 24 hours though - this place is going off!

Yeah I thought the quote thing might work ... but only for a short time.

As Brett was asking I tried a cryptic PM which at least worked for him ... but if they are censoring PMs as well ...

The word is that they're only doing simple string matching, so posting something like:

http://
www
dot
ducati monster world wide (without spaces)
dot
org

works fine (so far...)

big (avoiding logging in over there since I _assume_ they know I'm involved here)

Trouble maker  Cheesy Grin

Reputations hey  ;:|

It was something similar I used in the PM I sent. Super, if I recall correctly, was using a spaced out and spelt out version. Perhaps some threads are also getting a bit more scrutiny than others?

100%.

And I would also assume they know that I am over here, hence I am not using (or abusing) mod status on the DML. I noted that the forum admin (not a simple string match) has replied in the oz monster posts in our local club forum, which some people indicated that I'm here as well....

I'm sure they are watching in the DMF to see what's happening, and I would expect them to. No matter, all's good!

I assure you, they had all the advice in the world telling them a change like that was not going to work, and that the mod core was likely to up and leave and believed a large percentage of the membership would too. We (the mods) spent _heaps_ of time talking to Jim from VS about it, and it _seemed_ like we got through. This place has actually been here since early Feb, but the founders here agreed that we were only going to "go public" with it if VS screwed the pooch in ways that we'd been urging them not too. Then all of a sudden Jim's not there anymore, Stew from VS is in charge, and changes just happen in spite of our warnings.

And now here we are.

They certainly are being kept busy.
I got an email from DML saying there were several user names similiar to mine and to send in my correct email address for a password.
They must have known what I was going to keep posting ;:|

I went back to do a search for 'exhaust install' and all the links don't work anymore - I couldn't get any sense out of the old place.

That is truly sad.

By altering the parameters they have destroyed years of experience and knowledge, a community resource has been lost.

and I still don't know how hard it is to install a high mount exhaust!
