Dock, I see that a certain something that was in your bike listing this morning has disappeared. Does this mean there has been a change of heart and you will now be getting the mighty 696 instead?

Nope no change of heart she's still on the way, just a small peek for the first few ,the 696 looks like a sweet ride any how wt: wt:

I'm liking the style, just not sure about the dash.
If I change though it won't be for a 696 I'll wait to see what they do with an 800 or 1000

To which the reply should be ... mmm OK I s'pose, but would probably be feeling a bit better if ...

Mere mortals would be milking it for all its worth - for most it doesn't last beyond delivery date

Personally, I prefer the styling of the older monsters rear subframe over the new cast alloy one, and I notice in the photos that to get the exhaust routed in that nice curve over the clutch cover, both header pipes have a quite severe bend just off the exhaust ports - it looks nice, but I cant help but feel it'd surely work better with less flow restriction...

(not that I'm in the market for another monster anyway, so my opinions don't really matter, now if the new street triple comes out with a suspension upgrade like the 675 daynmas are rumoured to, that'd make choosing between a speed triple and a street triple pretty hard!)
