Other than the free Ducati Day @ H2R, M1Tanker, 2CardDuc and myself attended our first "REAL" trackday and thoroughly had a blast yesterday @ H2R....Nobody fell off in our group, Roger Castillo drug is around and pointed out and for the most part fixed most of our riding inconsistensies......Even though I ride every weekend for at least 200+ miles, I'm sore today...and glad to be out of the sun....

As trackday rookies, we need to pick up our "pit" game, fellas...this is weak!

Prepping....

Tech pointed out some helpful hints....

It's gonna be alright Sarge, just add a little tape to those license bolts....

Studley....just don't ask about the ground down "now-unobtainable" shifter tip

Uh, no comment

HAPPY with my Ape...no kidding, this thing IS all that....I just need to catch up

"Now they're lost and gone forever,
Oh my darlin' Chickin' Strips......

Even M1 picked his game up....No longer can we call him "4 Fingers Space"....

Favorite part o' the day....all 3 of us dispatching --on the track-- self-annointed "Mr-Pro" guy to "fastest guy in the pits with biggest ego" guy..............what a loser........

Looking good  waytogo
Now post up some action pics of you guys around the track.

That pit game remark and pic was funny though.  You didn't bring any shade at all?

No shade, we were uh, underfunded on this safari.......Scott and I rode down so we can blame it on Rich!!!  *(Sorry man!)  But hey, the Sarge kept us hydrated and gave us a place to stow our stuff, Muchos Gracias for that my friend!.....

to say the least, Texas in August at the track is, well, I may just as well go sit on my stove on broil.....but the clubhouse on top o' the hill was a great escape.....Pits had nothing but asphalt...we'll be better prepared next time out...or perhaps you Frank, can come out and show us how it's done? (subliminal hint inserted here)

Can't wait till it cools off so it'll be fun.....

Track pics, well, there were only 3 of us and we all rode at the same time...however, M Coker photography was out there and as soon as he posts up on his site, we'll have some pics to share..

Phhhtt.  Yeah, I can show you how to go slow as molasses .  Man, that black asphalt must've soak up some serious heat yesterday.  But someone else had mentioned that the new clubhouse is pretty nice.  Definitely will have to come up there and check it out soon.

My last track day in Phoenix..mid-July..115*!!  I have no clue what the temp was on the track?!    I only did the AM session and still lost nearly 4 lbs!

After today's heat, I'll pass on the track in TX until Fall!!

ClubHouse was in full "deluxe accomodation" mode...those car guys really know how to relax...big overstuffed leather (ette) couches.....268" playstationed tv (exageration, but huge none the less).....and oh so fine Air Conditioning with full kitchen.......

Just read the H-Town boyz blog on your track day and it seems the heat kicked everyone's asses......fall is looking better to me all the time!

Too bad Il Bruto is in Cali now, he may have packed a pop up in that tupperware for you to use.

Nice pics man.  waytogo  Can't wait for a chance to get out in that track. It will definitely have to wait until after this summer heat simmers down though.  Tongue

Absolutely great first trackday experience for me!  H2R is First Class.  waytogo

Another pic of "the rookies" machines!

It only took me one am session to realize that I would return pegless if I didn't get my knees down.  Those Cycle Cat rearset parts are going to be impossible to replace...

I would remove the kickstand too if I'm starting to ground down my shifter tip.  Something about that stand grinding into the asphalt while leaned over makes me nervous.  It's just a suggestion.

But looks like you had a great time.  Kudos on grinding down those knee pucks for your first time out  waytogo
