HeyThatsMyBike

So finally after 2 weeks I got my bike back from the dealer... It got backed into and luckily everything was covered by the other persons insurance.  I was able to put CRG levers on it... My first mod!!  The side stand assy. was one of the parts that was replaced, and I just realized that I can't start my bike without putting it in neutral. With the side stand up, in first gear and clutch pulled in it won't fire.  Does that indicate a fault in the wiring? Something the dealer needs to fix again?! What do you all think? Thanks in advance!

Look on your clutch side, look at the point where the lever's joint. now look underneath it. there shouldd be a little switch to your left, towards the bike. That button needs to be clicked pressed for the bike to start in gear with the lever pulled in. CRGs should have a little tab on the lever to press that switch when you hold the lever. Or if there is a tab, you might be missing the little nub. You know wht im tlaking about when you see it

Thanks Man! Just looked and the tabs not there!  I saw the little switch that gets pushed in.  The dealer didn't even let me know!  Going to email them right now!  Thanks for the info...

CRGs are the ones that dont have that piece. There might be a second piece you can buy to attatch, otherwise your SOL. I think only Pazzo and ASV levers have this piece built in, as well as rizoma and Motowheels brand.

Found one at Monster parts for 15 bucks.  I might just try and make one... For right now I'm just going to have to start in 'N' !!!  Should have gone with the Pazzo's... Oh well  [roll]

Ha ! That's what it is for...I bailed out on using some cheap handles because I wasn't sure what the little switch was doing.
On the other hand I kinda like the idea of having a protection against starting it WITH the stand out...
