Google street view australia kicked off today.
Lovely views of the front and rear of my house.
Also a nice picture of a Ducati S2R at the rear of the house.
Google were nice enough to blur the number plate.

Call me paranoid.
I'm thinking this street view is just making things a bit easier for motorcycle thieves
and junkies doing break and enters.

Google have provided feedback links for requests to have images of your house etc. removed.
Been clicking the submit button and my request for removal goes nowhere, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

You'll have to download the Google Earth program to see it.  Wink

Nothing happening at my place when I look.  Wink

Melvin, that's a red Corvette.....
The convertable thing you're talking about yes.

The mapping is old-ish though, it has my old car in the drive. We haven't had that for more than 6 months.

It's a little painful, but you can link to maps.google.com without having to install Google Earth:

voila!

I personally think it's a little spooky, especially if there is content up there that want removed and you can't. All your bases are belong to Google now.

I can just make out the S4R in the driveway of my place. But it really could be anything, so I'm not too concerned. Some funny stories in the papers today of people getting caught out though.

Yep, you got that right! Found my place, and the shot is about eight months old. Fortunately no bike visible - locked safely in the garage....
