All the M means is the motorcycle discount is in effect.  As far as water goes, mine has been drowned many times and survived.  Funny thing is they took back my external mount because the M is not put on them, but the M is vinyl tape that peels right off.

Tried it for the first time yesterday.  Three total tolls.  Worked once.  Was mounted on my windscreen perfectly level and I was going 2-5 mph, so I can't imagine a more ideal set up.  Piece. Of. Shit.  bang head

The only places I have had trouble are the Dykeman and Bear Mountain tolls.  Where there are no toll gates I could care less if it registers, they can bill me by photo or not.
