I didn't want to say it before, but I was hoping this would get pushed to the rain date. I'm sick and tired of this rain, but I couldn't make this one this weekend. I should definitely be able to make 16 May. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

Well, of course now that I've postponed it, the weather forecast will be completely wrong, and we're sure to have beeyoutyful weather for Saturday.
Anyway, maybe I can get the ribs on early, and get the wife to keep an eye on them, and we can get up a little ride in the daytime before dinner that day. We'll see what transpires.

since my grass is now head high, I don't want to lose anyone in the backyard.

For me the best part about this is that now I'm back in town, so I could make tomorrow, but next weekend I'm not going to be around because I will be (hopefully!) getting my bike back from the shop.

Didn't get a chance to ride this weekend, but I was at least thinking about it.
1. Anyone want to do an OBX run? I have never been out there, ever. I was thinking of heading down to Knotts Island ferry in the morning and getting to OBX by lunch. Then work our way back. Open to other recommendations also.
2. I will be at VIR for Cornerspeed on 19 June. There will be Championship Cup Racing on 20,21. I think I will hang around and watch that Saturday. Anyone else want to check it out?
3. AMA Superbike will be at VIR 14-16 Aug. I think I will try to make an overnight ride out there as my last hoorah before I head north. Anyone else interested?
I need to quit thinking and just ride.

Not sure yet. My bike is still up in Rockville and I was planning to get it this weekend, but clearly that depends on it actually being done. So, if it isn't done, I'll be able to come in the cage, but if it is done I will likely spend the weekend up there with friends and take the long way back to the beach (via the mountains).

I'd be up for it, but my schedule is pretty crazy right now and I don't even have a bike in the area. I'll let you know once I get my bike back.

Man I want to go so badly...but my bike isn't finished yet. That said, anyone know of a nice 996 or 998 for sale in the area that isn't yellow? I'm looking to pick one up and have cash in hand. If I could do that early this weekend I'd tag along on Sunday.

Does that mean we'll see you at the cookout? (nudge, nudge, wink, wink, he said knowingly)

Way to pin me down...
Yeah, I am planning on coming. In the cage
But yeah, I'm serious about that 996 / 998. Found a few far away but nothing I like is very close...

What is wrong with yellow. All the cool guys ride yellow Ducati's
Seriously, just keep your eyes/ears open. There are great deals to be had if you have cash and are willing to wait. I haven't seen any 996/998 but I have seen other deals, my wife would kill me though.

Nothing at all is wrong with yellow. It just isn't my color.
Now what is this patience you speak of...
