Is anybody out there? I'm Griff, I live in Norfolk, and I ride a Monster 1100 evo (black). I'm lookin for anybody who wants to ride. Trying to ride with my buddies who ride Fat Boys is beginning to really bum me out. I mean really bum me out.

I'm in richmond and got the same bike. I make it out your way once in a while. Redline has started doing group rides about once a month now that they are an official DOC. Should be fun.

For what it's worth, this is on this Sunday and it's located out on Rt. 5 by the bridge if I'm not mistaken.

The Norfolk bunch usually take Rt 5 into Richmond anyway. Rather a haul for me but was considering riding the T-100 down there for a look-see. Sunday weather looks OK at this point..., but it IS VA!

I was thinking about a back roads run to Knotts Island, ferry to the mainland, lunch in Corolla or one of the OBX islands. Any takers?

Did anyone do the Redline Ride this past weekend? I had just picked up my bike the day prior but had to fly out of town on Sunday.

I didn't, but one of the guys over on HRSB posted pics of it. Holy shit there were a lot of people. Way too many for my taste. I rode down to NCCAR with a few riding buddies to check out the Team Pro Motion track school. It was pretty make the beast with two backsing cool. They even let us take a couple laps around the track while every one was at lunch.
EDIT- Don't know how I never noticed this thread before. It's a shame it doesn't get more traffic.

At least it's more active than the Richmond thread.

True enough although there are some bikes. Two reasons might be the lack of a dealer for focus and the local BMW club which is happy to take on riders of anything European. There are even Ducatis in Charlottesville, but that's a bit far for Richmond. Other than "Poe's/Bikes in the Bottom" nothing else draws riders together.
Why don't you post a request for a roll call there and see whether anyone salutes. If enough respond, maybe we can organize some lunches and moderate rides on the good roads west of town. As you know, I'm in Goochland and rarely ride farther in than Bon Air. Basically I have decent riding 5 miles from my front door and tend to head to Scottsville, Nellysford when I want a good "airing", or even Monticello / Palmyra, but that area gets busy on weekends.

I was trying that before but I'm the wrong guy to organize anything. I'm just not home enough.

Anyone else you know in Metro Richmond who is? I'm too far west and my son is always travelling too. How many Monsters or other Ducatis do you know in Metro Richmond?

I know of 5 for sure. Never met them though, saw them posting in the richmond thread and seen them around town. I'd assume there are a bunch, Motoeuropa didn't do that badly. The owner just didn't want to sell bikes anymore.
