What does it mean when your body temp (read from a digi thermometer) is below 98.6?

that isn't too bad below 95 is when it starts getting dangerous and can be caused by a few different things excessive opiates and alcohol will do it diabetes thyroid issues sepsis renal failure and some brain stuff will all cause hypothermia besides the obvious cold exposure how long has it been going on?

That was the lowest that Mo registered last night on our thermometer. But he wasn't cold, he was just really ill and he had cold sweats.

He's fine now. A trip to the bathroom and he erm, "expelled" a lot of stuff but I think he was still feeling kinda crappy last night. Er, no pun intended.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it becomes chronic it could have been a mild flu bug Funny thing is, both of us registered low last night.
might be a faulty meter usually medical diagnotic devices have a wide tolerance even when functioning correctly so its best to go by symptoms rather than what the device says sometimes they lie

We figured that, that's why we bought a new thermometer and it said the same thing.
Eh, I was just curious

we have one of those electronic thermometers the ones where you stick it in your ear and push a button. Piece of crap, you can take someones temp and one try its 101 next try its 95. The only true way to take a reading is to stick a mercury thermometer right up his pooper.

Jim 'Wash Out' Pfaffenbach: Well, there's a delicate corneal inversion procedure... a multi-opti-pupil-optomy. But, in order to keep from damaging the eye sockets, they've got to go in through the rectum. Ain't no man going to take that route with me! Couldn't find the clip, but you get the idea.
