License plate relocator

I currently have the DML license plate bracket on my bike, it has a cutout of the old logo on it.  At least it is covered by the license plate, so it's not really visible and mostly it just serves to collect grime from underneath.

Should I leave it?  Any ideas or suggestions?  I have no interest in doing a tail chop or getting rid of my beer tray.

Seems to me collecting grime is the perfect job for it.  I say leave it until something better comes along.  Perhaps a VS bracket?
