On my Way home tonight a few miles from my house 7 Harley Riders pull up to me at the light... Half helmets and T-shirts all revving there motor's to hell.

One of them tried to talk to me... I had my ear plugs in so I could not exactly understand what he was saying but I know he was trying to Screw with me. He was making fun of my backpack for some reason. His entire groups of morons were laughing at acting like turds. I screamed at him I have ear plugs in so I have no clue what you're trying to say. I don't think he heard me over my dry clutch and his obnoxiously loud exhaust.

The light turns green and they all rev there engines to death again and one guy peels out and fish tails the bike in front of me. They proceed to go about 70 in a 45. I catch them at the next light since its Red. They all again rev there engines to death and take off like a bat out of hell going between cars and basically acting like a bunch of Punk asses.

9/10 it seems if I run into an ass on a motorcycle its normally a Harley Guy. I hate to stereotype but thats my experience at least.

This is exactly why motorcyclist are looked down on by cagers.  [bang]

My brother rides a V-Rod, you don`t need to explain ;D

Oh noes -- did the doctors and lawyers scare you?

If they want to ride like that, let em. They'll do them, and you do you.
Who gives a shit if cagers look down on us? I bet a good majority of us bought a motorcycle cause it is badass.
And besides the fact how many people here have loud exhaust? Makes you as bad as them -- just a differnt note.

I've had more trouble with the Gixxer squid crowd than with Harley riders.  I could enjoy riding a V-Rod, but I'm not willing to pay $18,000 for one.  Interesting how the problem crowds vary from place to place ~

Most Harley riders here are snobs, but that is also said about Ducati riders ;D

And Triumph riders and BMW riders.  Seems if you don't ride a UJM, the UJM riders consider you a snob ~

No they didn't rattle me...  but that doesn't change the fact that they were acting like a bunch of Punks.

I bought a motorcycle for many reasons, Fuel economy, Traffic, Fun to ride... etc.... Image was not one of them.

The more Squids and Punk motorcycle riders will eventually make it much harder for us to enjoy our Hobby... So yeah I do care what they do.

No comment on the loud exhaust...

Of course, that doesn't excuse the silly behavior.  That wouldn't have been much less obnoxious acting had the been on Rebel 250's IMO.

Yeah the loud exhaust doesn't bother me. My exhaust is louder than stock myself but not by much. Its the.... Hey look at me. Let me Rev my engine for no reason.
I got pulled over recently and was giving a verbal warning for my exhaust even though I was not on the throttle and basically rolled by and quiet as I could.

My point is I truly think we get harassed more often than we need to because of Punk Motorcycle riders give us a bad image. They have the potential ruin it for all of us.

That is so true, it`s a sad state of affairs that a few bad apples spread the rot and law abiding citizens have to take the flak >:(

If you aren't breaking the law -- you aren't going to get in trouble.

These guys are why some cagers try to run into us while lane splitti and generally have bad attitudes towards us. It also gives legislature more reason (legitimate or not) to limit the size of our bikes and place other restrictions on us.

+1.  i hate the reaction i get from people that don't ride when i tell them i have a ducati...the brand means nothing to most of them of course, i just get that generic and familiar "ohhh...you're one of "those" people...", like i just told them i like to throw rocks at kittens.  though the handful of people that know enough to rightly associate the ducati name with sportsbikes have a similar reaction that says they've lableled me as a wheelieing squid that does 120 in rush hour traffic on the freeway, lane splitting, natch.

I definetly ride because it is badass.

I generally get more respect from Harley Riders than I do from rice-rocket riders.   Just had a Harley guy at the gas station come and tell me my bike was wicked and the proceed to go get the guys he was riding with to show them my bike and bullshit.  It ended up being a 20 minute bs session.

I wave to all riders and most wave back but Jap bike riders tend not to once they see what kind of bike I'm on.  Of course they are usually too busy doing a wheelie with no helmet and a t-shirt on.

+1 on stupid asses making us look bad but I could care less about cagers and would just wish the po-pos would not group all sportbike riders together.  In no way to I act like most jap bike riders and I feel like a lot of the time cops just pull us over because of the stigma.
