he could have left it at "I was angry and I over-reacted.  Sorry" and not added the part about "well, rossi did it too ..."

stoner just needs to go monk and stop talking Cry

His actual quote wasn't as whiney as the blurb made it sound:

Like all riders we react the way that we do sometimes. Valentino has made comments that I have agreed with on what Toni (Elias) has done in the past. Maybe we over-reacted.ยด

`I think I am going to hopefully just be putting up more of a fight in the last few laps this time, whereas I ran off and crashed at the last race. It would be nice if I can put pressure on right up until the last lap.

Stoner "whines" (the same way Rossi did) & he's a baby, then he mans up and says he over reacted kind of like Rossi did and people lay shit on him again.

I think Rossi's riding was a bit crap but it was nowhere near as close as was made out in the media. Stoner lost that race way before he went down.

It's pretty standard Rossi tactics:
1. Be better
2. Fight
3. Mind make the beast with two backs
If all that doesn't work:
4. "That's racing" - Gibernau & Stoner - the only guys that have posed a real threat in the recent past.

I do agree that Casey and Valentino don't get the same treatment by the press.  However, Valentino has an upbeat personality that everyone loves.  That is just how it is.

Casey will never be able to compete with Valentino on personality, so he needs to play the stoic and let his actions speak for him.  The press seem to like that type of figure also.

Personally, I'm willing to forgive and forget after these comments.  Go Stoner!

I'm a Rossi fan-boy, but I kind of thought that Elias was a loose canon long before that race where Rossi complained.
