I've updated the ORIGINAL POST WITH NEW PICTURES after getting my rearsets and headlight bracket powdercoated black and installing the tail kit. I'm not sure which mirrors I'm going with yet and I'd like to replace the cans with some type of under mounted exhaust. Nothing like that is available yet. If I go with the termis I'm going to have my pipes ceramic coated black. I'm also thinking of wrapping my forks with a matte black vinyl film. What do you guys think?

But I think with time the new body style will have it's own identity. Smiley

Thats one way of looking at it!  laughingdp

For the rearsets and headlight bracket it was $100. The ceramic coated exhaust guards were $75. The guy that does the work is the same guy that does Billy Lane's stuff. Precision Powdercoating in Melbourne Florida. He does good work.

LOVE the headlight piece.

but surprisingly, not so sure about the rearset. didnt' realize how grey the swingarm was until next to the black rearset.
maybe on my white bike it would allow the white to pop more.

I like how all your pieces are being subdued with black.

would you think black lanesplitters would good with your bike?

Yeah, when it's sitting directly in the sun light the rearsets do look like a different shade of black than the swingarm. But I still think it looks better then the grey.  I think I'm going to end up getting the CGR mirrors. I just want to look around a little. Thanks for the input.  Grin

Maybe I shouldn't wear my 5" studded white leatherette platfroms when I ride, but I just love them so much!

And they just complete the look with your assless chaps and riding crop.   Evil

My black 696 will be here in a couple weeks.  You've done EXACTLY what I'm going to do to mine.  The one other thing I'm doing is having the cans powdercoated black as well.  AWESOME bike!!!!

Thanks! I'm going to go with an undermounted exhaust and take my cans off. The next thing I'm going to do is black powder coat the handlebar risers and top triple. Then I'm going to put black vinyl film on the front forks. Then she will be totally murdered! (Blacked out) Good luck and let me know if you need anything while taking apart your bike.

I did think about it but my girlfriend and son would both kill me. They like riding. It would look great though. Maybe someday.

A tail chop would not have any effect oh whether or not you can ride two up...He meant the crappy plastic tail that holds your plate.

I already have a tail chop.(Pictures in original post) I assumed he was talking about doing something like Celli did to his bike and totally get rid of the back seat. My bad.
