Speed 3 Pilot

Stock screen is not that restrictive, but the opening is rather small...my ECU is actually mapped for a full system, with a K & N filter and modified intakes, so I thought it could do with a bit more airflow...very unscientific, but what the heck...and yes the air still has to pass through the filter... ;D

Short ride to visit the snake and back this early this afternoon...bike seems to pull harder with the modified intakes, or maybe it was just the cool air, or maybe a combination of both...or maybe just an old man's imagination... ;D

What was your time?
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

1:33 I was hoping to break the 1:30 mark, I guess it will have to be the next time. :-)

My body took it much better than last year, I was able to walk after the race and the two days after.

Also made appt to get the Q2 mounted at SSD on Saturday, hopefully the weather will be good for the weekend.

Not a bad time but I guess from the after effects described that you are only a part time runner.  [cheeky]

So what's your total cost on the Q2's after South Seas charges for installation?  Be interesting to see what you think compared to the Pures ( like I said before  ;) )

I've been quoted for 2 hrs of work for the installation, $150, but I am going to ask for a possible "break" (hoping), $100 or $125 for the installation would be nice.  [thumbsup]  Plus $250 for tires, so less than $400 hopefully...

As for the running, yes, only part-time.  No marathon or anything longer than the GAR for sure.  Only for the purpose of trying to keep in shape.  :)

Talk to Shawn about the $50 per tire rate that he gives me... ;D

Yeah, that's what I am shooting for.  But you are a regular visitor of SSD, I am bit of a "stranger" :).  I may just need to pay my 'due'.

Got my Q2 installed, visited MD while he was performing valve adjustment on his old monster. rode thru semi dry tantalus, ewa off ramp, 13 turns, then Norfolk.  The verdict on the tire, I like them.  They feel softer than the pure, a solid planted feel.  Quite a confident building tire so far.
