Is McTlattie your undercover bikey name?

I wondered if someone would see that. How would you pronounce it? People have been murdering my last name all of my life so why should some bike tech reading it off of a work order be any different? It is unique in that it's the first time I've ever seen it spelled that way.

Hi Rick

""You're welcome on the clip ons. How's that working out""?

I should get the Cycle Cat triple clamp today.
I think I will attempt to put the new goodies on in the next couple of days.  This is Master's weekend so TV golf is taking up a lot of time!!

How long do you guesstimate R & R (triple clamp & clip ons) should take?

I'm glad you haven't seen that one before; it truly baffles me.  It's not from fat-fingering the keyboard, and I just can't imagine anyone thinking m c t could be followed by l, at least not without some impressive oral surgery.

Found out the young man who died at Kahuku Moto was one I knew.  He was always on his bike or quad when I saw him.  RIP Wayne.

He was a good kid.  Good friends with my GF's kids as they grew up on the same hill.  They're bummed.  I buried a handful of friends during my teens, I think those were the hardest.  He was a regular rider at Kahuku.  Went down on his first lap of the day.  Over rode a small jump and may have grabbed a handful of front brake?  Never a good thing when you're airborne.

I feel bad for his dad who was a supporter of the Moto habit.  No parent should loose a kid and even worse if it's a sanctioned activity.  I hope he can cope well with the heartache that's sure to come with the loss.

My friend on his (o4' S4) and I took a short run up to the park atop Tantalus.
It was my first frisky ride on the M900 since yesterdays top triple & clip on install.
My first impression is it's pretty aggressive....feels good at speed on the freeway w/ damper cranks on a little.
Backed off the damper going up Tantalus... like the being more forward for the hairpins....does make me want to go faster though, not sure if thats good. Cool
Do feel it in my wrists & back...sucks gettting old.

Spent five hours in the shop today working on modifying dial indicator jigs and learning cam timing.

The dry run practice sessions are over. Now for the real show. It'll be good when it's all done.

Will be installing MBP collets which, overall, is no small job in itself.
