Thanks for the welcome wishes...it feels amazing to be home. I meant to take Teresa out for dinner and fireworks at the beach, but fell asleep on the sofa. Of course, now I'm wide awake at almost midnight.

maybe you'll bring us some good riding weather...
I'll keep my fingers crossed...it feels great to just be somewhere that's low in humidity.

Anything lower than mid-80's for humidity is welcome!
On a completely separate note, this maybe the first 1199 write off...by a race team down in S. Africa! Luckily the rider just had a few bruises.

True...I was just impressed w/ the photo sequence of the crash. It reminded of a scene in the "Matrix" w/ all the debris scattered in the air.

I'm sorry, maybe this will be a conciliation. This video is quite inspiring even though it's about the GSX-R (never mind the fact I own a bike that has all the electronic bells and whistles)...besides, I'm partial to the background Arabic music.

I totally agree with him . . . That's why Suzuki ranks as my 'other' brand of preference ... no mind that we have a Suzuki Swift, '05 Vintage, . . . and that my first time on a bike was on a RM80 2stroke back in '84 . . . then I got a RM125 2stroke ... then nothing for a couple of years ... while in Germany got to take care of a friend's 900 Kawasaki Ninja, that was back in early 90's . . . then nothing again untill a job I had were I had to ride a Yamaha DT175 every day from HQ to my place of work .. . bike was company owned . . . after that, my Ducati M620Dark . . .

Totally a braking slide. Still impressive, none the less, as either power on or braking you still stand a chance of a high side should things go wrong.. or a low side should things go wrong on the "better" side.....
Don't believe it's a braking slide? ..... notice how much the front suspension releases at the end of the turn as he comes back on the gas ....... either way it's still guts up skill no doubt .......
as for all the bells and whistles ......... that could be a whole other thread
