Took a look at said bike and a no go...it's a theft recovery and shows it but that wasn't disclosed until I got there...sent BP a pm...what was holding me back is the fact that I really don't want to spend more than $10K (unless it's something REALLY nice)...and the prices I have been quoted to ship from the mainland are outrageous...boo Hawaii's limited used bike market....

Still sick like proverbial dog.  Got up at like 7, then went back to sleep from around 8-10.

The last hour was spent listening to the Cure and starting on making homemade bacon.

What do you consider outrageous?  It only costs $625 to ship a bike here from San Diego with Pasha.  Maybe something could get worked out with BP regarding moving the bike to National City for you if you end up buying it.

Beeker bacon?

No, I figured I'd experiment on some piggy first.  Maybe next time if it works out.

Glad to hear the soup worked out.  I'm hoping for the best with the various pork products.  The braise has been going for about 16 hours and smells awesome.  The cure is, well, salty and gunky looking.  But I think that's normal.  popcorn

Just found out that the Monster is going to be sidelined for at least another month (backorder date for fuel-pump/flange assembly is 20 Jan.)...

 :'(

Maybe I should buy a scooter (maybe I would have better luck with that...) or maybe I should jump on this AWESOME deal...

Well,
it seems i'mteh black sheep of the community...
these new laws going in effect all over the world, stating that you cannot hit, shout or reprimend a minor...firecrackers up to 2200h monday thru monday... plus the shouting...need my rest, wake up at 0430h everyday to walk the dog, make breakfast and head pit to work...is it too much to ask a little peace and quiet at least on saturday night?...
where's the education 'we're' giving these kids who have no idea how to clean their gluteus major after doing potty?...that only know wi or ps3 or psp or whatever game is the big fad?
am i asking too much?
just a little peace and quiet...need my rest ...

I understand that one.  Ear plugs and air conditioning, working in harmony, does the job for me.  Generally.

Braised pork belly was disappointing.  It overcooked slightly and dried out, so it had to be served in the broth.  Here's hoping the bacon turns out...
